Walking became outdated when people decided that animals would be a more efficient way to move around. Riding horses, camels, and donkeys created an advancement in society for faster transporation on land. Sailboats and trains started a new era with trade and helping the economy. Countries were now able to get and give necessary resources in a shorter time period. These inventions helped speed things up, but are relatively slow compared to the inventions we have seen in current time.
