Evolution of Cars and Airplanes

The first model of the automobile that was considered the birth year of the car was invented in 1886 by Karl Benz. Cars in the earlier years were less friendly to the environment. As cars began to grow and become popular in 1908, the different models that were available to the public increased in its safety measures. Many cars in the early days didn’t have windows that rolled down by simply pressing a button. They were mainly cars that were sounded by metal with little safety precautions and no windows. Cars in the modern day are installed with airbags and seatbelts that protect our bodies from being exposed to dangerous situations. As cars have evolved now, there have been many inventions of automobiles that have become eco-friendly and proved to be a benefit to our environment. For example, a Tesla is a very eco-friendly car that does not consume gasoline to run, but only lithium ion batteries to recharge itself and be on its way to traveling various distances.

Cons of the Automobile:

  • Cars in modern times are becoming more expensive to manage.
  • Increase of car transportation can increase the need for deforestation.
  • Has become less of a want and more of a need for society.

Airplanes were invented around the same time as the automobile by brother Wilbur and Orville Wright in 1903. This was the invention of the first successful plane but wouldn’t be the last. This plane was only the beginning of a new way of transportation for people, goods, and services. Planes have become very popular for the use of the military, travel, and trading between various countries. The first plane was considered small and dainty compared to the planes of the current century. We have now been able to hold over 50 passengers in one flight versus the first smaller plane that was built for two passengers. It’s evolution has increased in size and distance. With the stability of planes we have today, we are able to travel to further places that would take longer with the older versions of planes.
