Ride Share?

Urban city Rideshare or commuting

The physical creations of transportation has been paired with various methods on how people will move every day. Methods like the public transportation system, taxi- cabs, Uber/Lyft, and even walking are all prevalent in today’s time. The public transportation system, originated in France, was an intelligent method created to help all people get to their destinations. In Atlanta, Ga, the public transportation is known as MARTA. While MARTA is inexpensive and reliable, it is extremely time consuming and can consume your whole day. Taxi-cabs were an invention that helped people who didn’t necessarily want to drive, walk, or ride the bus. Taxi-cabs are becoming less popular due to Uber/Lyft, but are still prevalent in some areas that don’t have access to other methods of transportation.   Uber/Lyft, applications that allow you to access drivers from your mobile device, has been the newest invention towards transportation. Personally, these app creations were a life saver in high school because sometimes I wouldn’t have a ride back home from the train afterschool so I was stuck having to call older friends with cars and bargaining with gas money. When I found Uber/Lyft, I just started to call drivers every day to take me home and it was a huge stress reliever.

Yikes………!

There there has recently been an increasing problem with fake drivers picking up people and kidnapping them. With every positive there always seems to be a negative. Just a few months ago during Super Bowl weekend, authorities made a known message that people should check the cars that are picking them up before they ride off.  Everyone is not trustworthy so people have to be alert.
